Today’s Focus: ruyi 0.54.0-beta.20261102 released, first tag after a 39-day gap; ABI compatibility moves from package scanning to host checking, with only three packages annotated on the index side (11-02)
Date: 2026-11-02 Sources: 0.54.0-beta.20261102, PR #507 host ABI compatibility probing, PR #496 ELF ABI scanner, packages-index commits
At 18:37 on 11-02 (Beijing time), ruyi released 0.54.0-beta.20261102. The tag commit landed at 15:16, and 0.54.0b20261102 appeared in sync on PyPI; the stable channel remains 0.53.0 from 09-24. This is the first new tag in the 39 days since 0.53.0—the previous pre-release, 0.54.0-alpha.20260918, predates 0.53.0 by six days, meaning no alpha or beta shipped at all throughout October. The “late-October target missed” noted in the previous daily briefing now has a follow-up: it was not cancelled, but pushed to the first business day of November before cutting the beta.
The release notes list thirteen PRs, but the comparison baseline is 0.52.0-alpha.20260714, so nine PRs from 08-24 onward that had already landed in 0.53.0 are listed again verbatim. Comparing against 0.53.0 directly, the net new additions are only four: #503 test timeouts computed by package count, #508 vendor naming documentation, #507 host ABI compatibility probing, and #509 fetch error reporting. The “thirteen changes” readers see on the release page differ from the actual increment by two and a half months—this is the first point to clarify in this issue.
The substance of this release centers on #507: a new ruyi admin check-abi command performs host ABI probing and compatibility determination for a given package; ruyi list shows host compatibility notes, and ruyi install warns when a package is incompatible. The determination is tri-state (compatible, incompatible, undetermined) and distinguishes between lenient and strict predicate sets; on the RISC-V side it also handles edge cases such as floating-point ABI filtering of ld.so.cache, parsing of versioned single-letter extensions, stack alignment requirements, and missing weak symbol versions not counting as failure. The patch is +5760/−834 across 64 files, the largest single change in this release.
The layers need to be kept distinct: the ABI scanner #496 was merged back on 09-16 and shipped with 0.53.0—it can scan directories and tar/zip/deb archives, produce deterministic .abi.toml annotations, and provides rescan-package-abi. What 0.54.0-beta adds is the consumer side: taking the annotations and comparing them against the current host to answer “can this package run on this machine.” The toolchain half is in place this issue; the data half has only just begun: packages-index made three consecutive commits between 13:09 and 13:26, adding ABI annotations for three packages—wlink, qemu-system-riscv-upstream, and gnu-ruyisdk—eleven files in total, of which qemu has only two amd64 files and no riscv64.
Against the 327 package version description files in the index, three packages means the vast majority of packages can only return “undetermined” under check-abi. This does not affect the command’s usability, but it does mean that for now it is more a debugging tool for packagers and early adopters than a general safeguard for ordinary users installing packages. Bringing annotation coverage up will require rescanning package by package through the build pipeline, and this is a line worth watching before the 0.54.0 stable release.
I. RuyiAI Stack Progress (PyTorch / Triton / TileLang RISC-V Adaptation)
1.1 pytorch: Zero commits on the riscv branch within the window; head commit is still a replay of the 10-29 baseline (11-02 status)
Date: 2026-11-02 (status) Source: pytorch riscv branch, PR #51 riscv64 local image, PR #44 bytes_to_scalar fix
The riscv branch has no new commits within the window. The head commit is b20942de, committed at 11-02 03:00 (author date 10-29 12:48), with the message still [SyncBots] Integrate PyTorch at 3afdbd3; the commit timestamps of the twenty commits on the branch were uniformly rewritten into the same second, marking yet another full-branch replay, with the baseline not advanced.
The replay occurred about an hour and a half before the window began, so this issue only records status: the patch set is identical to the previous issue, still consisting of Add riscv64 image locally (#51), Fix bytes_to_scalar for float/complex on RISC-V (#44), Scope linear cross entropy ULP tolerance to RISC-V (#42), inductor opinfo blocklist (#50), and earlier CI and tolerance changes. This batch of RISC-V-specific changes accumulated on the branch since 07-22 has undergone multiple replays within three weeks without any new upstream sync.
The main branch has twenty upstream commits within the window (AOTI, dynamo, DCP, etc.), unrelated to this stack, and is not counted per the established convention.
1.2 llvm-project: riscv branch replayed again late on 11-02; A100/AME chain untouched (11-02)
Date: 2026-11-02 Source: llvm-project riscv branch, PR #30 IME intrinsic lowering, PR #31 A100 HP/SP and pack/unpack
At 11-02 23:00, the riscv branch underwent another full-branch replay: the commit timestamps of twenty-six branch-owned commits were uniformly rewritten to between 23:00:22 and 23:00:26. The head commit was replaced with 375bf3e4, whose content is still the 10-29 [workflows] Push rebased PRs directly and document contribution options, with no new changes layered on top.
The two commits most relevant to the RuyiAI stack remain in place: [RISCV] Lower IME intrinsics to SpacemiT A100 dot instructions (#30) and [RISCV] Add A100 HP/SP and pack/unpack lowering with calibrated scheduling (#31). One layer below are [AME] Update BOSC AME instructions (#29) and [RISCV] Update xtame design (#27), forming the chain of “AME design document → instruction definitions → intrinsics → lowering and scheduling”. This chain saw no additions in this window; the replay only changed commit timestamps, not content.
The issue noted in the previous issue—”the sync bot records are out of step with the actual upstream baseline”—remains unresolved this issue: the author date of the branch head commit is stuck at 09-29, yet the branch actually contains upstream commits from 10-30, and no new [SyncBots] record has been added on the branch.
1.3 triton-riscv: Zero commits on main; nightly build still published; rebase PR #92 refreshed within the window (11-02 status)
Date: 2026-11-02 (status) Source: commit list, nightly 2026-11-01-ed0ccd1, PR #92 rebase onto Triton v3.8.0, open PR list
The main branch has zero commits within the window; the last one is still the 10-31 13:15 dependency update (#91 bumps the buddy-mlir anchor to nightly dev20261030). At 11-02 06:14, nightly 2026-11-01-ed0ccd1 was published as usual with an empty description—a routine build cut from the same main branch head, with no new code.
On the queue side there was only one action: #92 “Rebase integration onto official Triton v3.8.0” was refreshed at 11-02 21:43. This PR, opened on 10-31, has remained unmerged and is the prerequisite for the five subsequent lowering fixes. There are sixteen open PRs in total; apart from #92 and the six recent ones #93 through #97, the remaining ten span June to October: #85 (softmax and matmul optimization, 10-18), #56 and #54 (FlagGems operator migration, batched kernel pointer selection, both July), #75/#72 (Harness tooling and control plane, August), and the earlier #59/#57/#46/#28/#27.
In other words, this repo now carries three mutually unmerged queues—”rebase”, “information-preservation fixes”, and “operator and toolchain expansion”—and the main branch has not advanced any of them since 10-31.
1.4 tilelang-riscv: Eighteenth consecutive day of silence; both open PRs stalled before September (11-03 status)
Date: 2026-11-03 (status) Source: tilelang-riscv commit list, PR #4 RVV mask and max reduction, PR #2 Codex-compatible operator workflow
The last commit on the main branch is still the 10-16 10:52 “Build Python extension in Buddy CI”, and there have been no commits for eighteen consecutive days since. Two open PRs: #4 “RVV vector mask and max reduction lowering” stalled on 09-28, and #2 “Add Codex-compatible RISC-V operator workflow” stalled on 06-16.
In the same organization and the same window, triton-riscv at least still has nightly builds and PR refreshes, while tilelang-riscv shows no activity even on its queue. The current alternative path for this component remains openRuyi’s python-tilelang-ruyiai spec (one of the three pieces of #1350), and #1350 is also still stuck in review this issue (see 2.6).
II. RuyiSDK Toolchain and Distributions
2.1 ruyi 0.54.0-beta.20261102: Only Four of the Thirteen Items Are New (11-02)
Date: 2026-11-02 Source: Release 0.54.0-beta.20261102, tag list, comparison of 0.53.0 and beta, PyPI ruyi
Timeline: tagged at 15:16 (commit message build: bump self version to 0.54.0-beta.20261102), single-file binary and mirror directory published at 18:37, PyPI synced 0.54.0b20261102. The stable release is still 0.53.0, so pip install ruyi will not pick up this version by default.
The divergence reported by the comparison API is worth noting: the beta is diverged from 0.53.0, ahead by seventy commits and behind by three. The three behind are the version bumps for 0.53.0-beta and 0.53.0, plus a fix for “cross-repo detection of installed packages”—the same fix exists on the beta under a different SHA (08fd6aeb), so no functionality is missing; the 0.53 release branch’s bookkeeping simply was not merged back into main. This kind of divergence appears every time a release branch is used, but if the eventual 0.54.0 stable is also cut from the release branch, the history comparison will keep showing “a few commits behind” noise.
On cadence: 0.54.0-alpha.20260918 to beta took 45 days, and 0.53.0 stable to beta took 39 days. Previously the alpha→beta interval was 28 days for both the 0.50 and 0.51 lines and 20 days for the 0.53 line; 45 days is a clear stretch, consistent with the fact that no pre-release shipped during the whole of October.
2.2 Host ABI Compatibility Lands: check-abi, Three-State Verdicts, and Install Warnings (11-02)
Date: 2026-11-02 Source: PR #507, PR #496 ELF ABI scanner, PR #509 fetch error reporting
PR #507 merged at 13:27 (+5760/−834, 64 files), moving ABI capability from “describing packages” to “describing hosts and comparing them.” Specifically, four things:
First, host probing. New HostABIReport and HostABIProber read host capabilities by architecture: ISA level on x86-64, BTI/PAC on AArch64, the ISA extension set and floating-point ABI on RISC-V; the implementation goes through the installed system’s library paths and ld.so.cache rather than in-process dynamic loading.
Second, verdicts. Three states—compatible, incompatible, undetermined—with lenient and strict predicate sets used for “warn” and “block” scenarios respectively; ruyi admin check-abi is for packagers to debug, ruyi list folds the conclusion into notes, and ruyi install warns on incompatibility.
Third, RISC-V-side detail fixes: filter ld.so.cache entries by host floating-point ABI, parse versioned single-letter extensions, judge by stack alignment requirements, do not treat missing weak symbol versions as failure, and reject libraries with mismatched ELF class.
Fourth, note hygiene: cap note size, discard invalid notes before caching, invalidate old notes before rebuilding artifacts, and support stripping leading directories from archive paths.
In the same version, #509 fixes reporting of fetch failures: non-2xx responses are no longer treated as “download succeeded” and left as an error page, resumable partial downloads are preserved, and HTTP status, redirects, connection failures, and stalled transfers each get their own message. This one matters more to actual users than the ABI check—previously an error page returned by the server would be mistaken for a completed download.
2.3 packages-index Adds ABI Notes: Three Packages, Eleven Files, Coverage Still in the Single Digits (11-02)
Date: 2026-11-02 Source: packages-index commits, gnu-ruyisdk riscv64 note, wlink notes, qemu notes
The three commits landed within the eighteen minutes before #507 merged (13:27): at 13:09, toolchain/gnu-ruyisdk gained 0.20260921.0 (with three notes); at 13:18, board-util/wlink gained six notes across two versions; at 13:26, emulator/qemu-system-riscv-upstream gained two amd64 notes.
Taking the gnu-ruyisdk riscv64 note as an example, you can see the granularity the scanner records: 2178 files in the archive, 43 ELFs identified, 5478 excluded (non-ELF plus exclusion-rule hits); e_machines=[243], depending on five sonames; version requirements capped at GLIBC 2.38, GLIBCXX 3.4.21, CXXABI 1.3.9; ISA attributes recorded at versioned granularity (rv64i2p1, m2p0, a2p1, f2p2, d2p2, c2p0, plus zicsr, zifencei, zmmul), stack alignment 16. That is enough to support a “can this host run this toolchain” verdict.
But coverage is a hard constraint: of the 327 package version description files in the index, only 3 packages and 11 files have notes; wlink and gnu-ruyisdk have riscv64 notes, while qemu-system-riscv-upstream has only two amd64 ones. In other words, a RISC-V user checking the vast majority of packages today will get “undetermined.”
2.4 openRuyi: Seven Commits, Seven Merges, September Backlog Cleared in One Pass (11-02)
Date: 2026-11-02 Source: openRuyi main repo commits, PR #1566 clang-wrap, PR #1565 mtools, PR #1421 qemu GUI test features, PR #1136 picoclaw dependencies (part 1)
Seven commits and seven PR merges in the main repo during the window, all on 11-02. In time order: #1421 merged at 09:12, enabling a batch of GUI test features for qemu; three go-github SDK packages merged in succession at 12:57, 14:18, and 15:14 (#1381 Tencent Cloud SDK, #1377 COS v5 and go-httpheader, #1376 volcengine TOS); #1136, the first batch of picoclaw dependencies, merged at 16:30; #1565 mtools 4.0.50 merged at 17:20 and tagged security-fixes; #1566 clang-wrap 20261102 merged at 20:13; followed by four direct pushes of Go ecosystem packages and one clang-wrap version commit.
Five of the seven merges were old PRs: #1136 opened 08-23 (71 days), #1376, #1377, and #1381 all opened 09-23 (40 days), #1421 opened 10-10 (23 days). Together with the four direct commits the same day, this looks more like an end-of-month/start-of-month queue sweep than a new development peak—no commit in this window touched the RuyiAI trio or ABI-related work.
2.5 openRuyi Under Review: Prometheus Thirteen Still Pending, binutils Test Tracking Closed Unmerged (11-02)
Date: 2026-11-02 Source: PR #1567 clonezilla, PR #1568 picoclaw 0.3.1, PR #1564 debuginfo, PR #1562 binutils RISC-V test tracking, PR #1559 firecracker
The shape of the open queue is unchanged: the thirteen-PR dependency batch for Prometheus v3.13 (#1540, #1441, #1547 through #1557) is still entirely under review, with the oldest pending for 17 days. The size of this batch means openRuyi’s merge bandwidth in early November will be occupied.
Three new PRs this issue: #1567 adds clonezilla (disk cloning and image deployment tool), #1568 bumps picoclaw to 0.3.1 and switches to vendor mode, and #1564 fills in debuginfo for the linux package. All three are packaging-side and unrelated to RISC-V specifics.
One status change worth noting: #1562 “binutils: Track RISC-V pr19719 test failures” was closed on 11-02 at 13:49, unmerged. It would have restored the two pr19719 tests that are unconditionally deleted and marked them as expected failures on RISC-V; closing it means binutils’ %check keeps the masking in place and pr19719 failures remain invisible. Last issue listed it as under review; this issue it should be recorded as “closed, unmerged.”
2.6 Ruyiai Trio #1350 Unmerged for a Seventh Week, torch Package Still Waiting on Branch Landing Point (11-02 status)
Date: 2026-11-02 (status) Source: PR #1350 Add Ruyiai packages, PR #1352 python-torch-ruyiai
PR #1350 (the buddy-mlir, python-triton-ruyiai, python-tilelang-ruyiai trio) has been open 42 days since 09-21, with no activity after 10-30 16:16; review comments total nineteen and all still concern spec style and packaging conventions: no blank lines needed between BuildOptions, missing python3dist(wheel), Provides must match the actual package names, patches should be generated with git format-patch, empty %check needs a comment.
PR #1352 (python-torch-ruyiai) also opened 09-21, last updated 10-27 09:51, with zero review comments. It shares the same unresolved question as the 1.1 pytorch branch replay: the branch gets a new SHA on every replay, so should the source landing point in the package follow it? No conclusion yet.
Taken together, getting the RuyiAI trio into the distribution made no progress in October: the main PR is stuck on spec discussion, the torch package it depends on is stuck on the source landing point, and the upstream branch they depend on keeps being replayed. If any one of these three layers does not move, the other two cannot be closed out.
2.7 openRuyi 2026.10 Still Missing; Two October Features on the News Page Went Live 10-30 (11-03 status)
Date: 2026-11-03 (status) Source: openRuyi news page, Ruyi Firmware feature, ruyifirmware Releases
The October 2026 monthly release announcement still has not appeared; the latest release announcement on the news page is still 2026.09 from 09-30. Given the previous four months’ cadence of 6-30, 7-23, 8-27, 9-30, this is now the sixth consecutive week of absence.
One correction to the previous issue: the news page is not simply “still showing 2026.09”—it has gained two October features, “openRuyi-Project: Public Infrastructure for the RISC-V Software Ecosystem” and “openRuyi Releases Ruyi Firmware,” both dated 10-19 in the text but actually published by a single commit to the site repo on 10-30 15:36. The previous issue only checked the release path and missed these two.
Ruyi Firmware deserves a follow-up note because it is directly relevant to RuyiAI’s validation environment: the firmware is based on coreboot, OpenSBI, and EDK2, with public build and flashing procedures; it integrates MultiArchUefiPkg’s x64emu so that a RISC-V UEFI environment can execute some x64 graphics-card UEFI components (tested in combination on an AMD Radeon RX 6400), and switches to an AArch64 oprom component for the RX 550 oprom issue caused by K3’s lack of DMA32 support; UEFI Setup adds a CPU mode selector (X100 only, X100 + A100, A100 only), where A100 only supports vector extensions and can serve as a 1024-bit vlen test environment. Release packages are versions 20261013, 20261014, and 20261015; the repo was created 10-13, and a Wayland desktop plus glmark2-wayland were brought up on a SpacemiT K3 Pico ITX.
III. Vector Extensions and Operator Optimization (VecIntrinBench / IntrinTrans / FBGEMM)
3.1 The three vector repos remain silent, with latest commits stalled at 02-13, 06-25, and 07-13 respectively
Date: 2026-11-03 (status) Source: VecIntrinBench, IntrinTrans, FBGEMM
All three repos themed around “vectors” had no commits within the window this period. Their latest commit dates are: VecIntrinBench 02-13, IntrinTrans 06-25, FBGEMM 07-13. The three originally formed a triangle of “what to measure, how to translate, how to implement operators,” and have now been stalled for nearly nine months, four months, and three months respectively.
The stall points differ, indicating this is not a single unified project termination but rather each cooling down naturally on its own. VecIntrinBench has been stalled the longest, which directly affects coverage judgments: if a vector intrinsic benchmark is not updated for a long time, the set it measures drifts further and further from the set the compiler actually supports—and the LLVM-side A100/AME lowering chain is precisely continuing to expand (see 1.2).
3.2 The operator work front remains in the triton-riscv queue: sixteen open, five information-preserving family PRs unmerged (11-02 status)
Date: 2026-11-02 (status) Source: PR #93 scalar memory access mask, PR #95 tensor gather lowering, PR #85 softmax and matmul optimization, open PR list
Since all three dedicated repos have stalled, the actual operator-layer work front can only be observed from the triton-riscv queue. There were no new PRs this period; the queue still holds sixteen, among which the five “information-preserving” family PRs #93 through #97 (scalar memory access mask, mixed pointer lane offset, tensor gather, incomplete tensor mask, stacked zero stride) all remain unmerged, with the latest one opened on 11-01.
Running in parallel with them are two other categories: first, the full-line rebase in #92 (see 1.3); second, the softmax and matmul optimization in #85—the latter has not been updated since 10-18 and is the only entry in the queue directly aimed at performance. The three are mutually independent yet none yields, so the main branch has landed no new operator capabilities since 10-31.
IV. Buddy Compiler Updates
4.1 buddy-mlir has zero commits and zero releases within the window, no nightly builds after 0.1.3 (11-03 status)
Date: 2026-11-03 (status) Source: buddy-mlir Releases, nightly dev20261030, commit list
Within the window, the main branch had zero commits and zero releases. The latest official release remains v0.1.3, cut at 10-31 23:01 UTC (11-01 07:01 Beijing time); the latest nightly is dev20261030 from 10-30 (10-30 08:49 Beijing time). Last period’s note that “ten of the sixteen commits are RVV scalable vectorization, and the release notes only mention server-side ABI” still holds; there were no follow-up commits this period to supplement the notes or add tests.
Based on the recent cadence, nightly builds usually appear only after new commits land on the main branch; three consecutive days without a nightly indicates that the main branch has indeed stopped since 0.1.3 was cut.
4.2 Downstream anchor still points to the nightly, no action seen on switching to the official release (11-02 status)
Date: 2026-11-02 (status) Source: triton-riscv PR #91, buddy-mlir 0.1.3
The dependency anchor in triton-riscv still points to the 10-30 nightly (dev20261030, #91 merged on 10-31) and has not switched to the official release tag v0.1.3. The two share the same source content (0.1.3 was cut from the 10-29 main branch head), so those ten RVV commits are already in effect downstream; what differs is the fact that “the anchor references a nightly tag”—renovate’s update cadence did not recognize the official release, and under the current configuration another round of waiting is needed.
The practical impact on downstream usage is limited, but it does affect reproducibility: nightly tags age out according to build retention policies, whereas official release tags do not.
V. Community, Events, and Official Homepage
5.1 Official homepage’s three pages unchanged; two blog posts, twenty-three documentation chapters (11-03 status)
Date: 2026-11-03 (status) Source: RuyiAI Official Homepage, Blog Index, Documentation Index
The sha256 of index.html, blog.html, and docs.html match the previous issue, all marked “unchanged.” The homepage indexes 3 items, the blog has 2 posts (“Triton’s RISC-V Adaptation” and “PyTorch RISC-V CI in Practice”), and the documentation has 23 chapters. The official homepage had no new content in this window, contrasting with the version activity on the ruyi side.
5.2 No new forum posts in the window; biweekly progress issue 080 not yet out (11-03 status)
Date: 2026-11-03 (status) Source: RuyiSDK Developer Community, RuyiAI Summit Recap, Biweekly Progress Issue 079
No new posts in the forum window. The latest is still #2899 from 10-29, “RuyiAI Appears at the 6th RISC-V China Summit, Sharing AI System Software Stack Practices from RVV to Matrix,” preceded by two summit reposts, #2898 and #2897, also on 10-29. The most recent biweekly progress is issue 079 from 10-26; issue 080 is not yet out. On a two-week cadence, the next issue should land around 11-09.
Worth noting: neither the ruyi 0.54.0-beta release nor the ABI compatibility landing has a corresponding forum post—release information currently flows only through GitHub Release and PyPI.
5.3 ruyiai-daily 11-02 issue archived (11-02)
Date: 2026-11-02 Source: ruyiai-daily
The daily intelligence repo committed daily-news: 2026-11-02 at 06:31 on 11-02, continuing its fixed cadence between 22:20 and 22:40 (UTC) each day. This issue’s content aligns with this report’s scope; no items required separate extraction.
5.4 Five external news queries return zero hits (11-03 status)
Date: 2026-11-03 (status) Source: Google News RSS, RuyiSDK Community
Five Chinese and English queries—RuyiSDK, RuyiAI, “如意” RISC-V, openRuyi, and RuyiSDK RISC-V—all returned zero hits within the 24-hour window. General RISC-V news had several items that day (RISC-V user-copy runtime detection in Linux 7.4, Qwen weights embedding a RISC-V CPU, etc.), none directly related to this topic, so they are excluded per established scope.
VI. Trend Observations
6.1 The gap closes with a beta; 0.54.0’s flagship item is “can this machine run it”
0.54.0 went from the 09-18 alpha to the 11-02 beta, a 45-day gap; 0.53.0’s stable release to beta took 39 days. During this period the ruyi main branch was not idle—the ABI series of commits landed in two batches on 10-30 and 11-02—but the release channel did not restart until the first workday of November.
When it restarted, the chosen content was clear: host ABI compatibility. This is not a “new feature” selling point but a shift from empirical judgment to a queryable item for “will it run once installed.” For a package manager targeting multi-vendor boards and toolchains, this direction outranks adding a few more packages.
6.2 The release notes’ baseline is misaligned, re-listing two and a half months of old changes
Thirteen entries versus four is the most easily misread point this issue. The release notes’ comparison baseline stops at 0.52.0-alpha.20260714, not 0.53.0; thus the 08-24 “RuyiSDK Certified” vendor marking, the 09-16 ABI scanner, and the 09-23 cross-repo install state fix all reappear in the 0.54.0-beta changelog.
The implication for downstream: you cannot use this list to determine “what changed from 0.53.0 to 0.54.0”—you have to run the comparison interface yourself. Adding a step to the release process to “take the previous stable release as the baseline tag” would not be hard, but the cost to reader trust is not small.
6.3 Data plane lags the tooling plane; ABI checks mostly return “undetermined”
The tooling has completed the three-state determination, install warnings, and the check-abi debug command, but the data side has only three packages and eleven annotations—less than one percent of the 327 package version description files; qemu-system-riscv-upstream even has only an amd64 annotation.
This means what users can actually feel at this stage is “some packages show compatibility” rather than “all packages can be confirmed before install.” To make this chain a general capability requires the build pipeline to rescan package by package and backfill—work counted per package that will not complete automatically with a release. Next issue can check whether the annotation count in packages-index keeps growing, as the criterion for whether this line has truly started.
6.4 openRuyi’s clearing of backlog coexists with missing releases; the bottleneck is release, not development
Seven merges landed on 11-02 alone, five of them old PRs from August to early October; four direct commits landed the same day. Development activity is not lacking, but the 2026.10 monthly release is still unpublished, and the news page is held up only by two October features.
Read alongside the ruyi situation, this points to the same judgment: both distribution pipelines of the RuyiSDK ecosystem (package manager and distribution) showed a “code moving, releases not moving” state in October. 0.54.0-beta has restarted the package manager line; the distribution line must wait for 2026.10 or skip straight to 2026.11, at which point it can be judged whether this is process delay or cadence adjustment.
